To accomplish this mission, I've tweaked more aspects of the game than I can count, including: The mission of this mod is not new: to enhance the historical accuracy and strategic challenge of ETW without sacrificing entertainment. I am taking a break from modding Empire, so this will be the final installment of the Succession mod (for now). If you have any bugs, or feel anything is unbalanced, please let me know right away. After years of learning to mod the game's data files, campaign setup, and unit textures, I am very proud to present Succession - A Total War: Empire Revival Mod. The units are as follows:īuilding Requirements: Livery and Blacksmith Their statistics are also developed for the vanilla game. The units can be recruited by all Empire factions, is affected by the Empire technology tree and are not available as garrisons because the existing garrisons for various factions have been balanced alongside one another, and I do not wish to disrupt that. The advantage of shielded crossbowmen is that they have a greater staying power against factions that have missile weapons that have more range or do more damage, like the High Elves and Dark Elves. I wanted the Empire to have an additional missile unit available to them in the late game so they could be more competitive. It described how there were many dwarfs living in the Empire, and that they could use crossbows and shields. The next unit, Empire Dwarf Quarrellers, is also derived from Empire Army Book 4th Edition. It has a higher attack, does more damage, and has a quicker rate of attack than normal Empire Knights, but is far less effective when charging. The purpose of this unit is to give the Empire a cavalry unit in the early and mid-game that is more suited for melee. The book stated that knights could use a hand weapon and a shield. The first unit is Empire Knights (Swords and Shields) which come from the Empire Army Book 7th Edition. The purpose of this mod is to provide an Empire player with more options in battle. However, I have added a new cavalry unit. In this version I have removed Fitted Halberdiers as I felt a heavily armored halberd unit did not suit how the Empire has been portrayed in the lore. Welcome to the Empire Unit Mod - Version 3!
